What is the substance used to paint shop windows white when they are being fitted out? And where can you get?

You know when you see a shop about to open ';coming soon... '; etc etc, well the builders have usually painted something on the inside of the windows so that the punters can't see in - WHAT IS IT? Please help....!!!What is the substance used to paint shop windows white when they are being fitted out? And where can you get?
Whiting.

You can get it in any garden centre. They sell it in sachets to mix with water to white out the windows of your greenhouse to block out the sunlight if it's too strong. Mix it up and paint it on!What is the substance used to paint shop windows white when they are being fitted out? And where can you get?
Windowlene - you rub it on and it dries white.

My mum used to use this to clean her windows but when we decorated she just left it on to obscure the view.

You can buy it on ebay - windowlene original creme.
