I have to paint my wood frame windows again. Any suggestions as how to make it last longer then two years.?

Strip back all the old paint and then use a primer or good quality paint that doesn't need a primer such as solargard.

Apply 3 coats letting the paint dry between coats. Be caeful not to glue the window in with paint. If you can remove the window easily do that.I have to paint my wood frame windows again. Any suggestions as how to make it last longer then two years.?
General questions in situations like yours require specific answers, so can we get a little more information? Are you talking about the inside or outside? What is making you need to paint it again? What was previously applied? What prep work was done last time? Sorry there isn't enough information here to get you in the correct direction. I worked in a paint store for almost 10 years, 5 them as a manager, so I can give you advice with some help from you. You don't know how many times people have come into my store asking a general question like yours, looking for specific answers for their situation. Getting more information from them can be like pulling teeth! Re-post with specifics and I'll help you, or go to you local paint store and ask them. Avoid the big-box-mega-retailers at all costs! Stick with the smaller independents. It will cost more for the product, but they (usually) have much more knowledgeable staff on hand. All they deal with is paint and painting issues, so they are the most help.

Good luck!

Dave
