The window installers said they wouldn't paint the window frames white is this normal for installed windows?

I recently had windows installed and the window installers would only paint the window frames with mahogany wood finish the said the company wouldn't paint the frames white is this normal?

What would be the alternative to painting wooden frames white? The window installers said they wouldn't paint the window frames white is this normal for installed windows?
Hi, Vina!

If you specified in your agreement that you wanted the frames to be primed they should arrive in that condition.

Your painting contractor would be the one to speak with about the final finish.

I've never heard of a window company insisting on finishing the product to their specs.

You are the customer. They are to supply that which you asked for to YOUR specs.

So, no, this is not normal.

Hope this helps.

I dont`t think your window installers have the skill to paint,I have never met any that skilled, perhaps they have never heard of Ranch paint It is brilliant two coats straight onto bare wood with a light sandpaper between coats will last for donkeys years, and guess what? it is white.
Not normal! Do not have them painted Mohogany! You payed for product. Report them to supervisor. Then the installers to the BBC.
Yes that is normal. Wood stain is easy and quick to apply. To paint them white will take so long they will lose money. You will find they only estimated for stain. I am a Painter, my advice, keep them stained its cheaper.
