Anyone know what builders paint on the windows to stop people looking in?

What I'm talking about is the white opaque stuff that stops you looking through the store/house window when they're refurbing it. I've bought Windolene (window cleaner) but I don't think it's that as it's too thin.Anyone know what builders paint on the windows to stop people looking in?
U can paint the window with anything, just mix limestone (chunna) with water and paint it 2 -4 coats. This is cost effective and will give opacity. If u need black colour, then mix the carbon black of dry cell (battery) in water and do the same. U should paint it from inside so that no one can remove it. Also note that since it is only lime and water, even if u rub ur finger over it, the paint will come out, as there is no binder to hold it to the surface.Anyone know what builders paint on the windows to stop people looking in?
The old traditional method was to buy a small bag of slaked lime powder from a builders supplier or hardware store. Mix in a basin and paint on. Easily removed and CHEAP
I know this cos I'm a builder that has done this many times. Too may times. Use Windolene, but it must be the stuff in a pink bottle. Do not use paint or anything other than pink-bottled Windolene.

We builders do this so that nosey-parkers cannot see us drinking tea and messing about, but also, cleaning the windows is always the last job before leaving the house. Applying Windolene at the start of a job will prevent the glass building up a layer of filth.
car window shade from Halfords.
Watered down white emulsion, it just scrubs off with a pan scourer afterwards.
Blinds
they sell it at garden centres for greenhouse try there
I use diluted emulsion in a spritzer spray thingy. Just squirt it on the windows for even coverage!!!
windowleen glass cleaner just dont rub it off till your ready to go clear again
I am sure there is a paint for it that your home store could reccommend, but you can also find a prettier way. I used the faux stained glass look in my bathroom, and on my little window in the front door.....whats up with everyone looking thru it on their tip toes when they knock?! WEIRDOS! Anyway it lets the light through and looks beautiful. It can be peeled off if you move, but Im guessing you could leave it on and the landlord would love you for it! You can also buy the sheets at home stores that have the same effect. They are usually in the window dressing sections.
Glasswax in the can.
just dilute emulsion paint
emulsion, but be careful about letting it run onto pvc frames or sills if they are the brown colour
use the windolene but dont rub in use plenty its worked with my windows........good luck
the norm is white emulsion mixed 50/50 with water, apply 2 coats to ensure good vision blocking properties.be careful not to get it on window frames and sills if they are plastic ,if they are wood leave your rubbing down and painting of these areas till last . the emulsion can be removed with a window scraper and or green scratchy pad all the best and good luck
