How can i remove paint from aluminium windows frames?

The previous owners have painted the ceilings, walls and everything (including the power points). Im not sure what kind of paint was used, and would mind betting it is ceiling paint everywhere. They have not masked up the anodized window frames, can anyone suggest how to remove white paint brush marks from the brown anodised aluminium window frames.How can i remove paint from aluminium windows frames?
Ajax water and a rag.





PS will not work if oil base paint.

Have you tried using Acetone Polish remover,I am not sure if it will do anything to the anodised aluminium it might be a little dull but should polish right back to normal.
use goof off paint remover wrap a putty knife with a rag to scrape use remover liberally. wipe some on ahead of your scraping action to pre treat area. use chemical resistant gloves this will also mess with the paint on the casing so have touch up paint
Wet washcloth and a DAB of paint thinner
Home Depot and Lowes sells a product called Goof-Off for removing paint where it should not be. Careful when using it. If you get it on areas where you don't want it you will remove the paint there too. Always best before jumping in to deep to test it on a small area. If it doe not harm the brown window frame go for it.
