How to cut the edges of an image with high resolution in windows paint?

I am unable to select the edges because of its large size. I also have GIMP software but I dont know how to use cutting tool for large images for which cropping is difficult because it scrolls and gets deselected. A dumb simple trick:


Why don't you first zoom the image out to a smaller scale (50%, 25% etc)? Then you can make the image fit to your paint screen and crop easily.
