In regular Paint on Windows, can you put text on an image without it taking away part of the image?

I keep trying to add text to this image but I can't without taking some of the image away. Is it possible? In regular Paint on Windows, can you put text on an image without it taking away part of the image?
yeah.. just put in a text box.. and change the thing on the side.. they give you 2 options.. and click on the one that wasnt already picked..In regular Paint on Windows, can you put text on an image without it taking away part of the image?
when you click make text box select (on the left) the second yellow box with shapes that doesnt have white inside the dotted box.
No, text is in a box and it blocks the graphic below it. Paint has no transparency capability.

EDIT: Woops, I am incorrect. I always wondered what that second little thingie did. ;-)
like if it get all white on the back of it just go to the side and click the transparent button. if you wanna move it click on the dashed line and move it around before making it part of the photo
