Removing paint specks from windows?

We recently had our house painted and didnt have the windows covered, we now have speckles of paint over the window, Im not sure how to get rid without scratching the windows as they are only a few months old, any ideas?Removing paint specks from windows?
Spray the widow with some Windex and take a rubber scraper or and old credit card and scrape it off.:)Removing paint specks from windows?
Knife blade. Don't try abrasives. Nylon pan scrubber maybe.
real easy: get a bottle of windex and a single edge razor blade. wet down the window, hold the blade at an angle to the window and ';shave'; the speckles off. keep paper towels handy to wipe off the blade and window as you progress. remember to always keep the window wetted down with the windex and it won't scratch.
Use a scraper.. It should pick off easy, without scratching..
Acetone
You can quite easily use a razor blade, but be sure to hold it at an angle. You can also use goof off which is a paint remover. You can buy it at Walmart or any of the home improvement sections. If you are worried about scratches, go for th Goof off as that is what it is made for. It wipes the stuff right off.
get to b and q (hardware store if in u.s.), buy a decorators scrapin blade, like a razor with a long handle. scrape away an your windows will be paint free
Put a washing up cloth wet with very hot water over some of the specks, leave it for a minute then start scraping with a plastic card, like a supermarket points card.

The heat in the wet cloth will soften the paint, and the plastic card won't scratch your windows, still be gentle just in case.
Turpentine,or use a razor, but be careful not scratch the glass,it worked for me.
First coat them in a bit of cooking oil, like canola, etc, and let them set. Then use a soft cloth to remove.
a wallpaper scraper will be fine
Listen, the most effective is a razor blade. The only thing to help insure not scratching is to keep the glass somewhat wet with warm soapy water or a glass cleaner. Plus the razor will slide more easily on the glass.
All box stores and paint stores sell a window scraper that you put razors in(sold next to them usually) Keep changing razor every few windows so you'll keep a sharp edge. It won't scratch your window. I do it all the time. Never had one problem. Or have your painter come and make good on this. He should of pit plastic over them
a razor thingy will be ok as long as the paint is dry
You want to look for a paint or substance solvent that will not ruin glass. I suggest getting some Oops! All-Purpose Cleaner. This comes in an aerosol can, and is safe to use on glass. It should help remove the paint.

Here's what it looks like:

I know it's safe to use on glass because I used it on antique glass. I had an old baker's cabinet with two glass doors. The glass was hand-blown, and a bit wavy. My great-grandmother had taped a recipe from some magazine on the inside of one of the doors. The recipe had long since been removed, but the scotch tape that held it in place was still there. I had tried using soap and water to no avail, and bought the Oops! on a whim. I sprayed it directly on the scotch tape, let it soak for a few minutes, then sprayed some on a scrub-sponge and began rubbing vigorously. It took a few tries, but the tape finally came off.
A very sharp Razor window cleaners blade but you must keep it flat to the window and not use the corner from any janitorial store or homebase with a stanley knife blade in a holder
Get a window scraper, its like a stanley blade on a handle. It doesnt scratch the glass and it costs about £2.50 from B%26amp;Q and Homebase
I'd use a razor blade
try petrol on a rag but dont smoke while doing this.
I just use a Stanley knife blade and a soft cloth!

Next time you decorate use a decent roller then you won't get specks of paint! I bought a cheap roller and it was shite - the next time I took advice from paint shop and spent a few pennies more - hey presto no sprays (truth!) my arms did not look like I had the lurgy!
Any plastic card rubbed against it gently will remove it or paint thinner
You can get a paint scraper for windows from any diy store
Razor blade scraper.
