Windows paint, how do you write over an image without white background?

i have windows paint and i was wondering how to write over an image without the white box background





just the text on it's own with the image still behind it?Windows paint, how do you write over an image without white background?
Paint is not the program to use. Use this free program that has a much better text editor tool and Magic Wand tool.

click on that yellow box on the bottom left--there are two of them, the bottom one has a dotted line around a green cube--you click on that and it makes the box background transparent.
