How do edit pictures on mac, like I would on Windows paint?

Macs do not come in with a built-in picture editor.

You have several options:

1. Open the picture with the built in app ';Preview';. It allows basic editing, for example cropping, trimming, etc.

2. Use iPhoto, which your computer should have. It allows photo correcting like red eye removal, straightening, that kind of stuff.

3. For a not-too advanced, free apps:

The GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/)

Seashore (http://seashore.sourceforge.net/)

Imagewell (http://xtralean.com/IWOverview.html)

remember that free is not bad. They are free simply because the author doesn't want money for it, and that they can be better than paid ones.

Here are some paid ones:

Adobe Photoshop (quite overkill for basic editing), not free, and uses the ';layer'; concept

Apple's ';Aperture'; - professional photo manager and editor, is overkill if you are not a serious photographer (not free)

also, www.apple.com/downloads

has a freaking ton of free, shareware, and demo apps for Mac OS X that are approved by appleHow do edit pictures on mac, like I would on Windows paint?
You dont. You need to buy separate software like Photoshop. Macs are complete rubbish anyway. How do edit pictures on mac, like I would on Windows paint?
